Jason Mesches

he/him

Pink once sang, “If G-d is a DJ, then life is a dance floor” and Jason Mesches took that literally, spending the next two decades spreading that message to families with young children. Through music, dance and comedy, Jason teaches Judaism to our youngest humans and the parents that they bring with them.

He is a proud alumn of URJ Camp Harlam and Syracuse University, and a featured PJ Library artist. Jason shaped his distinct teaching style over 12 years as a song leader at Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles– a city that now celebrates his work in the field of throwing raves for toddlers.

The LA Museum of the Holocaust commissioned him to write a jazz piano composition, and Jason’s strength as a story teller can be heard on NPR’s Moth Radio Hour. You can also find him on episodes of The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men.

He once met Jeff Klepper outside a men’s room, years later again in an elevator, and is excited to meet him a third time at Hava Nashira 2026.
