Jeff Klepper is a widely known and respected cantor. He has composed hundreds of Jewish songs, with many — such as “Lo Alecha,” “Modeh Ani” and “Shalom Rav” (all co-written with Rabbi Dan Freelander) — sung throughout the world. Jeff and Dan have performed together as Kol B’Seder for more than 50 years, and recently released a retrospective Anthology with music to 113 songs, along with a new CD called “We Are Partners”.
Jeff was ordained at HUC-JIR in 1980 and received an Honorary Doctorate in 2005. He co-edited the song section in the Reform prayerbook, Mishkan T’filah, and co-founded the annual Hava Nashira song-leader workshop with the late Debbie Friedman.
