Rabbi Noah Diamondstein

he/him

Rabbi Noah Diamondstein is the Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth-El in Hillsborough, NJ as well as a Jewish recording artist. Noah joined Temple Beth-El in the summer of 2025 after an inspiring 5 years at Temple Sinai in Washignton, D.C., one of the largest congregations in the Capital. He has had wide ranging experiences as a Jewish teacher and leader—from serving as an Artist/Rabbi-in-Residence and guest shaliach tzibur at congregations around the country, to handling primary source documents from influential early 20th Century rabbis, to running a shofar-blasting seminar for the leadership of Jerusalem’s Women of the Wall movement.

Noah believes in the power of Jewish community and traditions, especially music and ritual, to change a person’s life, and aspires to bring that same life changing Judaism to all whom he encounters in his rabbinate. His rabbinic thesis is entitled “A Tale of Two Liturgies: Placing Liturgical Development in the Reform and Conservative Movements in Conversation,” and focuses on the differences and similarities between the ways these two Liberal Jewish movements approach the work of creating new prayer books. This project was meaningful for him, given that he was raised simultaneously in both the Conservative and Reform Movements.

Noah has spent his life steeped in musical education and exploration, and is a multi-instrumentalist who uses his varied musical toolbox to help deepen Jewish experiences he leads. His first album, entitled “Ashira L’Adonai,” was released in January of 2019, followed by a second, larger project, a collection entitled My Whole Heart. It is comprised of 17 songs in four “chambers” of the heart, and came out over the last half of 5783 (2022). On Shabbat Shuvah 5786 he released a new setting of both Hashiveinu and V’shamru from our liturgy, recorded in the sanctuary at Temple Sinai and featuring vocals by the amazing Cantor Rachel Rhodes. Noah has been featured as an Emerging Artist on Jewish Rock Radio, a core educator at Song Leader Boot Camp, and even recorded vocals, mandolins and guitars in the amazing fourth edition of Rabbi Josh Warshawsky's Chaverai Nevarech band/album.
