Zach Singer Guitar
Strengthen Your Foundational Skills

Over the last year, we've heard from a lot of people who want to sharpen their guitar playing skills. Some are interested for personal reasons, and some as a way to advance their career or deepen their involvement with their Jewish community.

We are thrilled to offer some basic training with our good friend Zach Singer.

Rhythm Guitar Essentials for Prayer Leaders, Songleaders, and Performers

Week 1 was a big success! There's still time to register a la carte for the sessions of your choice, or for the remaining three with a discount.

Week 2 will focus on the pick. We’ll work on counting rhythms, and get used to several types of strum patterns as well as how to pluck individual notes sweetly and use the guitar like percussion.

Weeks 3 and 4 are all about the fingers. We will explore the ways to make your guitar harmonies sing and move from ballads or upbeat jams to multiple finger patterns and prayerful slap guitar.

November 16- Picking individual notes in a chord, advanced strum patterns, muting like percussion.

November 30 - Three and four finger methods and using patterns with classic songs like ‘House of the Rising Sun’ and ‘Blackbird.’

Dec. 7 - Alternating thumb and fingers to include moving bass notes, slapping along to make a bouncier Hakafah and playing the perfect D major Shabbat walk.

You can sign up for the whole series or just the classes you want to attend!
